SINOSIKAT? WATCH OUT!!

The funk, jazz, rock group everything is in them invading the music scene sinosikat makes a fresh taste on today’s pinoy music scene.

Sinosikat started four years ago as a jam band they show there music in underground bars, they might be not as famous as of rivermaya, parokya ni edgar or bamboo but they’re songs have a crisp taste that you’ll ask for more. And I had almost an hour having a tete-a-tete with there vocalist Kat and there Keyboardist Nick I felt there is no mask in there faces
.

Our group asked them what will make us distinguished them from other bands is it’s personality and legendary music that is really “pangmatagalan”. There secret is originality and I felt that in there song “So Blue” you’ll feel the rollercoaster of the melody of jazz that harmoniously electrifies and become a punk rock that made even better with the components of this mouth-watering music steering he soul. Sinosikat still had the pinoy-music taste the reason “Kung ano and napapakiggan ninyo un din and pinakikingan naming” Nick said.

About the lyrics of their songs there is always the magic when they write “the experience made that” Kat said that means they occupy a part of us in our music savvy minds craving for rock punk and something new. “As we make albums and songs unti unting nabubuo ang sinosikat” Nick said so let’s expect more of what we see

Starting from scratches the band was noticed in their gigs. “Walang madali sa una” As Kat said and explaining to us that the band had just enough in their gigs to support them financially. “Making the album is hard as well we don’t have or own recording stuffs” but look now little by little they are being recognized.

If you define bands as people who doesn’t know anything but just singing and playing, shorty, think again Nick is a architecture graduate at the University of the Philippines and the reason that he will tell anyone why entering a band “ A good idea is worth fighting for and Sinosikat is a good idea”. So think again, look at these musician

Because pinoy artist is not just rocking baby they Rule!!!

Britney, piece of her

The superstar became the disaster. Entertainment has become rude to her Britney Jean Spears
born December 2, 1981 is an American singer, dancer, songwriter, actress and author.

"I'm Miss American Dream since I was 17
Don't matter if I step on the scene
Or sneak away to the Philippines
They still gon' put pictures of my derrière in the magazine
You want a piece of me [x2]"

Her first hit single “Hit baby one more time” isnt just the first hit it was followed by many more albums and hit singles like “Toxic”, “Oops I did it again”, and “Every time”.

"I'm Miss bad media karma
Another day,
another drama
Guess I can't see the harm
In workin' and bein' a mama
And with a kid on my arm
I'm still an exceptional earner
You want a piece of me"

And her career blossomed diligently in America and in the international scene. Fame brought Britney almost everything and she started in a very young age of 16. But, fame made her the worst she can be. drugs, gossips and hardship in life made her a beast.

"I'm Mrs. "Lifestyles of the rich and famous"(you want a piece of me)
I'm Mrs. "Oh my God that Britney's Shameless"(you want a piece of me)
I'm Mrs. "Extra! Extra! This just in"(you want a piece of me)
I'm Mrs. "She's too big, now she's too thin"(you want a piece of me)
Verse 2
I'm Mrs. "You want a piece of me"Tryin' and pissin' me off
Well get in line with the paparazzi
Who's flippin' me off
Hopin' I'll resort to some havocEnd up settlin' in court
Now are you sure you want a piece of me?You want a piece of me"

A beast that started as everyone’s fantasy. The beast of the entertainment scene. She exposed her vagina not because she wants too but everyone wants too, Britney has become one of the legendary personalities today. Everyone has a piece of her and everyone wants the taste of Britney so we forgot that everything has an end and sometimes everything are ending because we demand too much, Fans of Britney and everyone will never be satisfied until she is done to her last piece.

"I'm Mrs. "Most likely to get on the TV for strippin' on the streets
"When gettin' the groceries, no, for real ...Are you kiddin' me?
No wonder there's panic in the industryI mean, please"

We may not know it, but, Britney taught us on of the most important thing in life, The Rules of Fame. Everyone wants to be famous but it has its consequences. Fame, life and satisfaction we want Britney more more more! We will never leave Britney up to the last drop of her.

I'm Miss American Dream since I was 17
Don't matter if I step on the scene
Or sneak away to the Philippines
They still gon' put pictures of my derrière in the magazine
You want a piece of me
You want a piece, piece of me …

The Raising the Dead;

It was never easy for Todd Matthews to find someone in the net, someone who he doesn’t know personally, from where, probably someone dead.

Matthews played a big role in searching the body of the “Tent girl”. A misfortuned cadaver of a teenage girl wrap in a green burlap sack. The terror of the victim which became a mystery begun when Wilbur Riddle (Todd’s Father-in-law) found it in Eagle Creek off Route 25 in backwoods Kentucky. The news become a dilemma, everyone was frightened.( like when Britney show her pussy on camera!)

One of the people who is interested in the tent girl is Mathews who had a bitterly life. All his siblings died he was the only survivor so he decided to help the cadaver. 20 years After the Tent girl was found, Matthews spend sometime trying to identify the cadaver
(Unfortunately his wife is a pessimistic psycho nagger someone who throws things when you are fighting like plates, knifes I wonder if she even tried to throw the fridge when he spend too much time Google-ing and less time with her love-making.)

One night after spending many hours on the net he finally got solve the mystery of the young girl Barbara Hackmann-Taylor who was missing since latter part of 1967. And because of this Matthews became an instant superstar! But not for long, He was guessed in talk shows and became an inspiration for net-savvy (nerd) like him to take part of the Doers who then help many people by which they solve missing cases

But Matthews cant entered Hollywood unfortunately he must audition in American idol first. And he hasn’t had anything back solving the case of the Tent girl. So his wife (the Juggernaut) told him it was a waste of time. But this made me love Matthews the idea of being inspiration to people to help in cold missing cases

As Todd said “There’s nothing I can do in people in my cemetery (his siublings)” but he Tent girl “This one I can do something about”.

Behind the university lies the identity

The story of Jessica Soho in Iraq inspires me to do the writing while the books of Rizal persuade me to care to this country.

My experience in Japan as some OFW may call the routinenary challenges that they are facing (such as loneliness, miscommunication and discrimination) made me want changes. Reluctant of telling this to my parents my ambition was hardly supported, but soon after, They don't have a choice. They accept it.

They search the net to find a place that they knew i would be able to enhance my capabilities and they spotted the Manila Times School of Journalism.

"the school is not meant for people who is not interested in the field" Dra. Boayes told me when i inquired. The school may be shallow and dark, It does not have the university structure of having gym, quadrangle and multi purpose halls. Unexpectedly, I like how it feels to be in . To have the hands on training. I never thought the school will suite my interest, my ambition and my identity, continuously, i felt the passion in writing in everything the school offers me to do.

One day im looking forward to have my own documentary that will enhance and change the life of people. The power to reach out to the forgotten behind this university i had my identity a new breed of youth that may offer the great change my country is asking for

For my mom who worked hard and still facing the routinenary challenges

Chocolate Cake

One of the things that i love to do is eating, really, I don't know why am i taking up journalism while i enjoy going to the kitchen and giving myself a treat with things in the fridge like a chocolate cake.

May i connect writing to eating, Like when you have nothing to do on a fine day and you want to detach from the reality and might as well give yourself a delightful treat thats the time you will slice the chocolate cake. When you feel down chocolate has a component of may i say," i-cant-identify" chemical component that is similar to the chemical that the hypothalamus release when you are in love. Yes, Occasionally we read stuffs that suits our mood sad, happy, heart broken, angry and excited.

Of course you'll really picky when it comes to splurging and treating yourself! So might as well give yourself a fine taste of the chocolate cake that form the time your teeth reach the layers of a mouthful chocolate it will give you the feeling of asking for more. Thats like the first sentence and the first paragraph of the article you are reading the passion, the suspense and the way the author put the very sense to it.

Make me want more Chocolate cake! Splurging means mingling, it would be more fun if you have someone to talk to while eating, and so as a feature article that the author will try to approach you like he was talking to you giving his incite, opinions, knowledge and background of his story! That will be perfect...

And at the end, you can say.. "Oh baby i'm full, the cake excites me and so as the story i really had enough he end it with a very nice conclusion, let me have the box of the cake so i can have the name and the buy again so my tummy will be occupied by the choco-goodness. For the author you already occupied some parts of my brain. I will look forward to the day i can see you. In your stories".big smile
